Breaking Cycles of Violence: Fund Peace Campaigns in the CAR and the CEMAC Zone
In the face of interfaith crises and mass displacement, we train women mediators to restore dialogue. Support our concrete actions.

In the Central African Republic, intercommunal violence and conflicts between farmers and herders continue to destabilize the region. The following statistics illustrate the scale of the crisis:
1.2 million internally displaced people (OCHA, 2023): This figure reflects the scale of forced displacement due to violence.
75% of traditional conflict resolution mechanisms destroyed (MINUSCA): The destruction of these mechanisms exacerbates tensions and complicates reconciliation.
60% of women excluded from national reconciliation processes: The lack of participation of women in these processes compromises the chances of lasting peace.
Faced with this alarming situation, the organization Femmes en Danger is actively engaged on the ground in Bangui and from Paris to provide concrete solutions:
Training of women mediators in high-risk areas: By strengthening women's capacities to play a mediation role, the organization aims to promote constructive dialogues and reduce tensions.
Organization of interfaith dialogues with religious leaders: These dialogues are essential to promote mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence between different communities.
Alerting the international community to the social emergency: Women in Danger is working to raise awareness among the international community of the seriousness of the situation and the need for rapid intervention.
The Central African Republic and the CEMAC region face immense peace and security challenges. Women in Danger's efforts to train women mediators and facilitate interfaith dialogue are crucial to restoring peace and stability. It is essential that the international community recognize the urgency of the situation and support these vital initiatives.
Three major crises that require immediate action
Inter-religious crises, political instability and farmer-herder conflicts are issues that, if not addressed quickly, could have disastrous consequences for the region.
"Without decisive action, these tensions could spark a new regional crisis by 2025 – United Nations Report, 2024."
Our 2024-2025 campaign: measurable results

Mass Awareness
50 radio broadcasts in Sango and French
We plan to broadcast 50 programs in Sango and French, reaching 200,000 listeners.
These broadcasts will aim to inform and raise awareness among the population on crucial issues.

Mediation on the ground
150 women trained
We will train 150 women in mediation, which should enable us to resolve 80 conflicts in 6 months .
This initiative aims to strengthen the role of women in conflict resolution and promote peace within communities.

International advocacy

Estimated budget
50,000€
The total estimated budget for the campaign is €50,000. This amount will be allocated to various planned activities, including training, awareness-raising, and advocacy.
Additional objectives
Train 100 new mediators to expand our network of women involved in mediation.
Cover 15 high-risk areas to maximize our impact.
Produce 5,000 educational materials (posters, radio kits) to support our awareness-raising activities.
We are confident that this campaign will contribute to positive and measurable change in the communities we reach.
